Enduro Run Group Rules and Classing

Cars:

• Closed wheel vehicles (tires cannot extend past fenders)
• 200 (or higher) treadwear tires (except for X class)
• 6pt+ roll cage with door bars (NASA approved or similar)
• Fixed back racing seat with SFI/FIA 6pt harness (seat can be expired with brace or
  harness bar within 6”, harness cannot be expired)
• SFI/FIA rated fire suppression system (not expired)
• SFI/FIA window net
• 24gal maximum fuel capacity (OEM tank and/or properly installed SFI/FIA fuel cell)
• Functional taillights, brake lights, and headlights
• No flood lights, no roof mounted lights, maximum of 6 front lights (factory low & high + 2 aux lights). Lights that are aimed too high, are too bright/blinding may result in black flag.
• Front windows must be removed or fixed in the down position
• Car numbers must be clear & legible (illumination not required)
• Master battery kill switch, all (+) battery/power terminals well insulated, battery securely
  mounted
• Strong, clearly marked tow hooks/straps (front & rear)

Drivers:

• SFI/FIA suit (3.2A/5 or higher or 8856-2000 spec and newer for FIA), gloves, socks, and shoes
• SA2020 or SA2025 full face helmet
• SFI/FIA rated head and neck restraint
• Arm restraints for convertibles
• Balaclava required (rated or labeled fire resistant material, no karting head socks)

Pit stops & refueling:

• A minimum of 3 pit stops (with refueling) are required during the race
• 15mph maximum pit lane speed (Pedestrians are present!)
• Fueling begins when gas cap is removed, fueling ends when gas cap is secured
• Kill switch off, no driver in the car during fueling
• Only the refueler may touch the car during fueling
• Fueler & fireman must wear same safety gear as driver (except HANR), helmet visor down
• Fireman must point extinguisher (5lb+ type BC) at refueler and not perform any other tasks during fueling
• Only 5gal fuel jugs may be used (maximum of 4 jugs per pit stop). Large drip pan
  required to catch any overflow/spills.
• Driver change can only begin once fueling is complete
• Quick maintenance may be performed during pit stop (including tire changes). Any
  repairs that take 10+ minutes must be done in the paddock

Classing:

• A, B, and C class will be assigned after technical inspection
• Classing may be adjusted during the race based on laptimes/performance if needed
• Classing guidelines:
  C Class: Miata, E30, 944, RX-7, Civic, etc
  B Class: E36, E46, FRS, Boxster, etc (~ST5)
  A Class: Corvette, 911, BMW with wing/splitter, Pink NSX, etc
  X Class: Unlimited class - no tire restrictions, not eligible for prizes
  **These are guidelines only. Power adders, engine swaps, aerodynamic upgrades,
  professional drivers, etc may move you to a faster class. Classing is subjectively
  determined by organizers.

Racing & flags:

• Maximum of 4 drivers per team
• Registered drivers may drive more than 1 registered vehicle
• Single file race start (no pace car), starting order will be assigned by organizers (no
  qualifying)
• Yellow flag (slow down, no passing) is in effect until you reach the next manned flag
  station not displaying a yellow flag (A green light board is acceptable as well)
• Black flag – immediately report to pits and speak to the pit marshal before re-entering the track
• White flag - safety or slow vehicle ahead on track (slow down, only pass safety/slow
  vehicle)
• Meatball flag - mechanical issue with your vehicle, immediately report to pits & fix issue before re-entering the track

Penalties:
Any of the following will result in a black flag/penalty:

• Contact with another car
• Passing under yellow flag
• Unsafe and/or overly aggressive driving (especially near safety vehicles)
• Unsafe refueling and fuel spills/leaks (in pits or on track)
• Speeding in the pit lane
